Why Choose a Vacation Rental over a Hotel?

A vacation rental can save nearly 50% over the cost of renting one or multiple hotel rooms. Vacation rentals also typically come with fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer and a larger floor plan for six to eight guests. Typically vacation rentals will not include daily housekeeping, but you have a washer/dryer in your rental and don't have to worry about being in the room when you get that knock on the door early in the morning. For example during the week of Christmas (12/20-27) a two bedroom gulf front condo can be rented for around $2100 for the week plus tax. The condo can sleep up to six people. If you had to rent a hotel, you would have to rent two rooms at a cost of around $1900 per week plus tax for each room and then you still only have to small hotel rooms.

After months of surveying clients and industry professionals to determine what is needed and desired to enhance the vacation rental industry, local business owners and chamber members Ryan Block and Brandon Olson of Reservation Central determined that a complete re-design of the former RentalMLS was a top priority. Based a plethora of input and specific requests, Reservation Central is proud to announce the new and revolutionary RentalMLS (http://www.rentalmls.net/). This re-design allows the RentalMLS to advertise, promote and more effectively cater to professionally managed, privately owned properties as this has been specifically designed with property managers in mind. In response to the overwhelming feedback from survey participants, ResCen.com has also undergone a complete makeover and re-design to take full advantage of the new feature packed, user-friendly RentalMLS. 3) Advanced Search (used in addition to basic search) – Allowing any user to easily and quickly narrow their search with greater detail based on unique and specific requests including floor (1st, 1st floor stilted up to 4th floor), view (several options ranging from beach to bay), to any of dozens of specific unit and property amenities ranging from beach equipment to Jacuzzi’s.

The RentalMLS now allows property managers to display and advertise their properties like never before. Each property/unit listing provides a wealth of information starting with unit photos, specific unit and property amenities along with owner/property manager comments, google powered location maps and availability calendars (when provided). Participating property management companies have their contact information on each of their listings directing that user to the corresponding property manager’s web site or to call for more information resulting in direct rental leads.
